When examining the Egyptian pharaohs, what is the primary difference between the Egyptian rulers and their Sumerian counterparts?

  A) The Egyptian pharaohs considered animals as acceptable gods that they honored and received divine power from; the Sumerians did not worship animal deities.
  B) The Egyptians believed that all of Egypt was the personal property of the pharaoh; while the Sumerians believed that their leaders were there to guide and protect, not own, the land.
  C) Egyptians saw their pharaohs as divine; they were in essence godlike beings that were created to serve their subjects. The Sumerians elevated their kings to the level of gods but did not bestow full divine powers upon them.
  D) There was no difference between the ruling bodies in Egypt and Sumer.
  E) The whole of Egyptian society was organized to be under the pharaoh's control and submissive to his will; the Sumerians had much greater latitude and less supervision.
