In order of surface temperature, star classifications range from hottest to coolest.  These are O, B, A, F, G, K, and M.  They are further broken down in numbers of 0 to 9.  Therefore, a star with the coolest surface temperature will be class M9.  Our sun is a class G2.  A star with 100 solar masses will likely be a type O0.
