The increase of population in the Sunbelt had to do with the construction of a national highway system and
 
  A) the fact that the area was deemed safe from a national security standpoint.
  B) the cost of living was less expensive in these areas.
  C) the widespread use of central air conditioning.

  E) None of these are correct.
