1)why when polystyrene was initially formed it was a liquid, but when repetitive treatments with methanol it became a more granular solid?  explain this different physical state behavior in terms of chemical structure and secondary intermolecular bonding

2) why is nylon 6,10 an alternating copolymer, not a homopolymer

3) what caused granular polystyrene to form styrofoam when it was placed in boiling water?

thank you!

2) why is nylon 6,10 an alternating copolymer, not a homopolymer

nylon is made from 1,6-diaminohexane, NH2(CH2)6NH2 and sebacoyl chloride, ClCO(CH2)8COCl

it contains alternating chains of 6 and 10 carbon atoms between nitrogen atoms
