Astronauts experience muscle atrophy when in space. Some muscles no longer need to contract to bear the weight of the body, so they deteriorate from limited use. Describe the ion movement and charges in a motor neuron axon that stimulates a muscle to contract (an action potential) and compare it with the ion movement and charges in a motor neuron that is not stimulating a muscle to contract (a resting potential.)
