When the ratio of insulin to glucagon is >1, which is the following is true with regards to fatty acid synthesis?

 
-malonyl CoA will inhibit carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1
-citrate levels will be low in the cytosol
-acetyl CoA carboxylase will be dephosphorlated and inactivated

I think malonyl CoA will inhibit carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1 is correct, what do you think?

Note that this reaction is an energy requiring process (1 ATP per Malonyl-CoA formed). Acetyl-CoA carboxylase is an interesting enzyme. Studies of the enzyme from birds and mammals indicate that it forms long linear polymers.
