Trustworthiness is the audience's perception of the speaker's reliability and dependability. When
people have positive experiences with us, they tend to believe we are more trustworthy. Ethics
encompass an individual's system of moral principles and can be cultivated during a persuasive
presentation by citing sources for information that is not your own, not distorting information to make
your point, and showing respect for your audience.
