these 2 molecules are still tricky to me as i am just learning this stuff. the first one i think is 2-Bromo-6-ethyl-4-methyloctane ? the second i think is 2-ethyl-5methyl-4-propylhexane ? would appreciate some help, thanks

1) But you have 2 methyl groups, so it is: 2-Bromo-6-ethyl-4,4-dimethyloctane

2) Ok, methyl and ethyl groups have the same distance. So, from where will we start numbering? It is determined from the propyl- group.
So, the name should be: 5-ethyl- 2 methyl- 3- propylhexane
