So, I've answered part of this question, but I can't explain the why. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Given the chemical formula C6H12O6 for a hexose monosaccharide, can one determine the exact name/identity of this molecule from this information alone? Why or why not? (2 points)

No. This chemical formula is the same for multiple different molecules, such as glucose, fructose, talose and mannose.
