Lee is a healthy basket ball player and would like to increase his competitive edge . He told you that he has been taking vanadyl sulfate for the past few weeks and he is now trying to convince you to do the same. What is vanadyl sulfate? Is it really wise for him to be taking it? What about you, would you take it?

Vanadyl Sulfate acts as a potent insulin mimicker. Insulin works by stimulating the cells within your body to take up the glucose in your blood, either for immediate energy or for storing as glycogen in your liver and muscle cells. Because Vanadium is a metal, taking in high dosages of it can causes vanadium poisoning.
