What is the function of T cell lymphocytes?
 
  a. to regulate the immune response by activating other cells
  b. to direct production of antibodies
  c. initial destruction of the antigen

T lymphocytes are called this because they mature in the thymus gland. T cell development is very complex and can have four different receptor chains. The function of the T cells is poorly understood, however they appear to function as innate immune cells.
