Nitrogen = 14.0067 g/mol (molecular weight)

Nitrogen exists as a diatomic molecule, so it's that number x 2.

28 g/mol in a sample of nitrogen.

We have 130 grams of it, as stated.



If we divide mass by the molecular weight, we get the moles.

130 g / 28 g/mol = 4.64 moles.

Now multiply 4.64 moles by the Avogadro constant (6.022 × 10^23 mol−1), like this (an example):
