Matthew Ornelas Ravizza “Mission Assignment” I would choose my junior college coach, Deskaheh bomberry. The reason I am choosing him to be the one who talks about my achievements in my baseball career is because he was a big reason for my success in baseball these last two years. He believed in me like nobody else and knows I can be successful. I did not know too much of the mental side of baseball before going to sac city and learning from him. He has taught me alot about how the mind is a very key factor in terms of pitching. I would like for him to talk about how much I have grown in terms of the mental side of pitching from when I first walked onto that field to leaving it. I would like him to talk about my performance at the state championship game. I would like for him to talk about my work and dedication to my craft. I enjoy this sport because of its mental toughness that it takes along with the idea of it being a mind game. If i was told this was going to be my last season my attitude I would bring everyday would be me being very confident in myself and going about it giving it my all knowing I will not regret anything that I have done after the season. Clayton Kershaw is my prime example of an ideal athlete. His mentality is always confident knowing he's better than the guy standing at the plate. His body language is impressive and shows his confidence. “What are you worth to the team” hits me home because bomber used this when I was at city. This story means a lot in terms of guys who are just playing for the ride and the guys who want to make a career out of baseball. What it means to me is how far are you willing to go to master your craft. Are you just willing to do the bare minimum to get by or are you willing to give everything you got to
