Single- and Double-Blind Procedures

Description
In research, being “blind” means that individuals in an experiment do not know which group they were assigned to—a must in an experiment. This constraint can be applied just to the participants (a single-blind study), or, preferably, to both the participants and the researchers (a double-blind study).
