Photographic Mock-up of the East Pediment of the Parthenon Using Photographs of the Extant Marble

Description
c. 447-432 BCE. The gap in the center represents the space that would have been occupied by the missing sculpture. The pediment is over 90 feet (27.45 m) long; the central space of about 40 feet (12.2 m) is missing. British Museum, London.

The pediments
Most sculpture in the round has been damaged or lost.
Statues from the east pediment are the best preserved and portray the birth of Athena.
Central figures are missing. Three interlocked female figures are likely Hestia, Dione, and Aphrodite.
