Meroblastic and holoblastic cleavage.

Description
As seen in these electron micrographs, early embryos of birds and many fish undergo incomplete (meroblastic) cleavage, whereas most amphibian and mammalian embryos undergo complete (holoblastic) cleavage. The amount of yolk in the egg (not visible in these images) contributes to many of these morphological differences observed in various species.
