Structure of the mitotic spindle.

Tags
Description
The mitotic spindle is formed by the microtubule organizing regions from three types of microtubules. The astral microtubules emanate away from the region between the poles. The polar microtubules project into the region between the two poles. The kinetochore microtubules are attached to the kinetochores of sister chromatids.
