I did a Punnet square for bio where i crossed 2 Dihybrid plants  and the numbers i got are different from the ones i expected and i need to explain why this is?

I interpret 'observed numbers' to mean that you (or someone) did an actual experiment -- crossed two plants; counted the seed, planted the seed, recorded rates of germination, observed the results.  

If this is true then you are looking at a statistical phenomenon.  Check out "standard deviation" and "confidence interval".  Another way to look at it is to simplify.  What are the odds that any child will be a boy?  That a couple have two children and two boys, three children and three boys, etc.
