I've been good at maths and precalc, and making A's most of the time. I'm have bad trouble concentrating this week and I have plans to do real good this year. I feel like my family doesn't love me, and usually math gets my mind off that. This is my first week of school, and what worked for me before isn't working anymore. I find myself working a page of problems, and then I end up writing poems or things on the paper about how I don't understand people. How can I get my mind back on math and school?

Try doing your Studying in a quiet spot in the Library... THAT way Your "family problems" will seem far away, & you can Concentrate on what You're Doing...  Slight Smile

I think most young persons go through feelings like you've described. When I was your age, I would often find myself writing out my thoughts, and sometimes I wrote some very dark poems. It's a part of the growing process, and often it's painful mentally. Your life won't always be this way. If you can still make good grades, then that is what matters. If you make less than A's for a while, it doesn't mean that you haven't succeeded. Maybe what you're not seeing is that you good with writing as well as being good with math. I'm guessing that the writing side of you needs a release, just like the mathematically inclined side of you needs realized.
