I have a math test tomorrow and I dont know how to write out equations for word problems.
Can someone help me?

How would I write this out?

Eight times the difference of a number and 2, divided by 2 is equal to the number added to four. Find the number.

[8(x - 2)]/2 = x + 4

8(x - 2) = 2(x + 4)
8x - 16 = 2x + 8
6x = 24
x = 4

read the question like this, pause and think what the worlds are asking you to do.

eight times
