Ellen is majoring in marketing and has a general idea for her career target. She has held several part-time jobs since graduating from high school and in this class she has learned that employers look for employees who have good transferable workplace competencies (basic skills and attitudes that are important for all types of work). She knows that she needs to identify her strongest workplace competencies in order to convey them to prospective employers. (Hopefully, Ellen also knows that she should strengthen the areas she is weak in.)
   
  What set of foundational skills and personal qualities (transferable workplace competencies) would you recommend that Ellen look at so she can begin to identify her strengths?
