A man has been shot in the abdomen. The bullet passed through the abdominal wall, the large intestine, and then lodged in the kidney. Name in order the serious membranes in which the bullet passed.

Is this correct?

parietal peritoneum (part about the abdominal wall)
then
visceral peritoneum (part about the intestine)
then
parietal peritoneum (to get out of the abdominal wall since the kidney is a retroperitoneal organ)
then
visceral peritoneum (for the lining of the kindey)

Thanks!

OK, how about serous membranes, not serious. Personally I prefer the term serosa.

Your order is good. Not to split hairs, but I would say it passes through the visceral peritoneum twice in the colon, anteriorly then posteriorly.

The lining of the kidney is a fibrous tunic that I would not term a serous membrane. But that's just me. My histology book is mildewing away somewhere in my basement.
