Is there an alternate route for regenerating NAD+ (so it can undergo glycolysis again) or does it just die because it cannot produced anymore ATP?

With glycolysis, the organism producing 2 ATP and pyruvic acid then, if anaerobic respiration is needed, it will go to anaerobic to break down the pyruvic acid. But if it can't use fermentation, i dont think there is other alternatives besides aerobic. It still has the 2 ATP but I'm pretty sure it will need more energy. Im guessing it will die.
