How does the reproductive method of bacteria ensure the replication of plasmid DNA?

reproduction involves splitting the DNA molecule, length-wise. Strands that have broken off once (and became a plasmid) are likely to break off again.

bacteria reproduce through asexual reproduction. This means that the DNA in the cell of the bacteria will be replicated and then split in two, so each new bacteria has exactly the same DNA.

i assume you know about mitosis, right? well then think of it like this; if a bacteria cell has 46 chromosomes and splits through asexual reproduction, both daughter bacteria will each have 46 identical chromosomes. its just mitosis, but with an organism instead of just a single cell.

Plasmid DNA works in exactly the same way, it doesn't matter that a plasmid is a ring of DNA when other bacteria just have free DNA, it will still be the same.
