This is concerning fermentation.  Glucose is a monosaccharaide, sucrose is a disaccharide, and glucogen is a polysaccharide.  Which of these produces the greatest volume of gas over a 1-hour period? And why?

Glucose - since it is the starting material for glycolysis which has to occur before the end product of pyruvic acid is reduced to ethanol and CO2 in fermentation.
