I need to know why GM crops are better than normal crops, do they grow faster? Are they healthier etc. Can you help me?

That depends on the GM that has been done.

Types of GM crops exist that allow the plants to grow in poor soil, such as soil with high salt content. Other types of GM make the plant resistant to diseases. And one type of GM was used to provide nutrients in food: rice was manipulated to produce extra carotene, allowing people on a high rice diet to obtain enough carotene and hence vitamin A.

It could be all of those, it all depends on the plant that is being modified and what qualities are being enhances.
Just like tomatoes are enhanced with jelly fish genes to improve the lasting of them.

apart from above,
-genetically modified crops can be made resistant to insects, such as 'Bt cotton'.
-they can be made to grow faster than normal,
-they can be made to yield more product than the normal ones
