i am having a bit of trouble answering the following questions for activity six on cardiovascular dymaitc  could some one please help me with these  Slight Smile

5. What do you think might happen to the pressure in the pump during the filling if the right flow tune becomes leaky and allowed back flow into the pump?

6  apply this concept to the human heart, what might occur in the left heart pulmonary blood vessels if the aortic valve becomes leaky and allows back flow of blood ?

7. If the aortic valve became constricted , what must the heart do in order to deliver the same amount of blood per minute ?

As the stroke volume is increased, it takes longer to fill the pump and the pump rate slows. To maintain adequate blood flow to tissues, the stroke volume must be greater in an athlete if his heart rate is lower. If we keep the rate constant, increasing the stroke volume causes cardiac output to increase.
