Hi,

I am working on Physio 9.0, Excercise 3.0, Activity 6, Question 4 and am having trouble. The question states:

What is the relationship between the interspike interval and the frequency of action potentials?

I am wondering if the interspike is the action potential itself and, if so, is the question simply referring to the rate of action potentials over a given amount of time? Or am I completely lost, lol?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Does the threshold stimulus intensity have any play into the equation then? Or is it simply: if my ISI is 200 msecs, then the Hz is 1/200 or, after the (mandatory?) conversion, 1/.2?
