Shown below is a co-transcription regulation found in E. coli. Such a segment of DNA forms a unit of transcription and has a name for it. What is that name? Show how lactose induces the transcription and show the transcript.

Prokaryotic mRNAs do not have a poly (A) tail at the 3' end.
