I need help with the following questions...

3. Explain why a change in extracellular Na_ did not alter the membrane potential in the resting neuron.
4. Discuss the relative permeability of the membrane to Na_ and K_ in a resting neuron.

The resting neuron is (4–5) times more permeable to potassium because of the increased number of leakage channels.
