 a. short-acting insulin should be given one hour before meals.
  b. client needs to eat within 30 minutes after rapid-acting insulin injection.
  c. after initiation of insulin therapy, a honeymoon phase occurs that then allows a reduced amount of insulin on a permanent basis.
  d. insulin sensitivity can be determined by analyzing pre-meal blood glucose, insulin dose administered, and food eaten.
