It will be that 75% are homozygous for the dominant train. Homozygous simply refers to having matching alleles for a single trait and some of its related terms include allele, and genes.

25% Rightwards Arrow 0.25

q^2 = 0.25
q = SQRT(0.25)
q = 0.5

1 - 0.5 = 0.5 = p

0.5^2 = 0.25 Rightwards Arrow 25% of the population is homozygous dominant too.

2*0.5*0.5 = 0.5 Rightwards Arrow 50% is heterozygous, so the answer is D.
