NATURAL SELECTION IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING EXCEPT:
1) individuals who survive longer tend to leave more offspring then those who die young
2)individuals adapt to their environment and thereby, evolve.

I choose 1) since i think the fittest emphasizes reproducing offspring rather than surviving. Also I didnt know where 2) is wrong?
Could anyone help? Thanks
