Answer: The ideal answer should include:
1. Love scenes on stage are usually verbal, and rarely is there much extended love play. Nudity is extremely rare.
2. Love scenes in movies are usually the opposite: The emphasis is on physical contact, with a minimum of dialogue.
3. Most film actors hate playing nude scenes, which are usually performed while dozens of technicians are observing from the sidelines. The actors must seem totally at ease, even though the lights are unbearably hot and their running makeup must be corrected between shots.
4. Despite this unromantic public arena, the performers must act as though theyre behind closed doors, drunk on intimacy and passion.
5. Because the camera distorts, actors are required to perform some love scenes unnaturally. In an embrace, for example, lovers cant really look at each other in the eyes or they will appear cross-eyed on screen.
