Deep sea fishes have problems seeing in dim light. Which of the following ratios of lens surface area to retinal surface area would be best for deep sea vision?
 A. 3:1 
 B. 1:3

I'd guess 3:1 because the lens is used to focus light onto the retina. If they have a hard time seeing in dim light, then their retina must be smaller.

Pretty tricky question and mind you, my interpretation may be wrong. I've really never looked at this ratio before. What was your guess to begin with though?
