John has a sensorineural hearing loss and Paul has a conductive hearing loss.
 
  a) John's speech discrimination skills are probably better than Paul's speech discrimination abilities.
  b) Paul's speech discrimination skills are probably better than John's speech discrimination abilities.
  c) John and Paul probably display similar speech discrimination abilities.
  d) John's speech discrimination skills will be better for the left ear and Paul's speech discrimination will probably be better for the right ear.
