A)   .43

The probability of an event is calculated by dividing the number of favorable outcome by the total number of outcomes in the situation.

In this case,

Number of favorable outcomes = 9 + 4 = 13

Total number of outcomes = 9 + 10 + 7 + 4 = 30

Probability = 13 / 30 = .43

B)   .77
