In Grutter v. Bollinger (2003), a case involving Affirmative Action in college admissions, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled:
 
  a) minorities and women could be awarded extra points on an application.
  b) absolute equality in the treatment of all people had to be observed.
  c) race, among many other factors, could be taken into account.
  d) a school had to give special consideration to white males.
