A 12-year-old female is seen in the clinic for a chief complaint of in-toeing and being teased at school for the last six months. She had been seen as a toddler who W sat, and the doctor told her parents that she would outgrow this.

However, she is still in-toeing a lot. The mom is concerned that she will grow up and not be able to wear high heels or walk down the stairs without tripping and falling. Your knowledge about femoral anteversion leads you to state which of the following? 1. She will outgrow this by the time she is 20 years old..
   2. She will not outgrow this now. It usually resolves by the time children are 8 or 9 years of age, so only surgery will correct this now..
   3. She will never be able to play running sports..
   4. She should try gymnastics since she is so flexible..
