Explain how microbial growth, genetics & nutrition are all related to one another( include gene expression, carbon/oxygen need, ATP production, enzyme use etc). Thank you

Microbes require an energy source to grow. This can come in the form as ATP, which is obtained via nutrients, such as glucose. During growth, through binary fission in bacteria, DNA (genetic material) is replicated whereby both daughter cells possess the same genes. DNA is important because it is what gets translated and transcribed ultimately into proteins, such as enzymes, that in turn digest nutrients.
