A fire department is preincident planning a new high-rise structure in their city. The fire department needs to determine the total pressure loss that will occur when 20 sprinklers with a 1/2-inch orifice and a K of 6 are all flowing water at 9 psi on the 12th floor of the structure. In order to supply the FDC, a pumper will have to reverse two lines of 3-inch hose with 2 1/2-inch couplings 300 feet to a fire hydrant and pump the lines. What is the required pressure?
