Why is listening to yourself important in practice?

  a. The thoughts, feelings, and reactions you have when you work are important
cues to help you understand what is happening when you practice, and can
help to better understand how the client is perceived by others
  b. Your reactions to the client are important for the client to know in order to
realize that they may need to change their interactional style with you in
order to not upset or offend you
  c. It is not important in practice and should not be developed or used
  d. Being aware of how you feel and react to someone can help you realize when
you are not the perfect fit for a specific client and need to refer them to
  someone else.
