Explain why pressure changes are not the best way to control blood flow.

I know that the major determinant of peripheral pressure is the diameter of the vessel. So, I assume tha this would be the best way to control blood flow. But why is pressure change not the "best" ? Neutral Face

Changing pressure would not be a reasonable method for flow control because a large change in pressure is needed to significantly change flow rate.
