So I am looking at a graph with percent of maximum of RLU/CFU (y-axis) with time on the x-axis and I'm not sure what the y-axis means.

I know RFU measures fluorescence and CFU are the number of viable bacteria, so is RLU/CFU the ratio of light and number of bacteria.

CFU is Colony Forming Units

They are just dividing the two numbers, but I don't know the significance of doing that.

According to one article:

Quote
The number of RFU/ml was then divided by the number of CFU/ml determined at the time of vesicle harvest to generate the OMV yield (RFU/CFU).
