Describe how to prepare 1 L of an
0.85%  NaCl solution. If the solution is to be
used to culture live cells, is it important to
include a buffer in the solution? Explain.

I'm using the formula:

\(C=\frac{n}{V}\)

I'm assuming 0.85% is grams / L.

\(0.0085=\frac{n\ mol}{1\ L}\times \frac{58.4\ g}{1\ mol}\)

According to this, we use the molar mass of NaCl which is 58.4 g.

My opinion whether you need a buffer is no because the osmolarity here is a close approximation to the osmolarity of NaCl in blood.
