Mr. Brown would like to not only stop the misbehavior he is seeing in his classroom but also get to the cause as well. He may have to:


a)

use ultimatums.

b)

consider children's feelings.

c)

offer rewards.

d)

resort to punishment.

B is probably the best option. A and D is strictly a NO, and with C, the child might become dependent on rewards. Children may not always respond to what teachers say but this does not mean that the words have had no effect. Stinging condemnation hurts children, even if they appear to laugh it off. They are upset when they feel misunderstood or misrepresented. They are angry when they perceive that a situation is unfair and confused
