Can there be other interesting geomerical shapes for US postal cards other than rectangle shape?

Ex : Square, Circular, Oval, Ellipse, Rhombus, Kite etc?

Simplicity and functionality is keep to design. A triangular or circle envelope would prevent a simple 8-by-11 paper from being folded properly.
