Hi, just need some help with this question, it is also a two parter. So the rest of the question is below.

If the person has a heart attack which prevents both of his atria from contracting,
what would his end-diastolic volume likely to be in the right ventricle?

thanks in advance.

The wave of excitation from the SA node travels through the atria and triggers the atria to contract and move additional blood into the ventricles.

The AV node is the only connection between the atria and ventricles. Once the signal passes the AV node, it propagates through the ventricular portion of the conduction system.

The conduction myofibers then directly stimulate the cardiac cells in the centricles to contract.

Because blood returns to the right ventricle first, it's more likely to pool there.
