Observations

Attached images of left and right hand having five fingers.

The Left hand thumb is on the extreme right of the five fingers.

The Right hand thumb is on the extreme left of the five fingers.

This is applicable to both the genders i.e. Male & Female.

This is applicable to all humans who are born without any disabilities.

Can medical science give us an answer as why we are not born as follows regarding our left and right hands?

The Left Hand thumb is on the left hand side of the five fingers.

The Right hand thumb is on the extreme right of the five fingers.

So can we come to a conclusion as we do not have answers to some questions in medical science?

Thanks.

Will it be called a deformity or defect if the Left and Right hand structures are modified for the five fingers with Thumb and Index finger swapped?

Yes, that's a congenital deformity, which most likely occurred during fetal development -- not in the sex cells (sperm, egg).
