▸ If people are in the same environment then they will naturally have the same maps or images of it.

▸ One person's mental map is produced by interaction with others and is thus socially learned.

▸ The same ecological niche necessarily produces similar mental maps or images.

▸ The biotic environment shapes our mental images.
